This drop down longboard is also very good for beginners because of its stability. The deck has 9 layers of Canadian maple wood and a full drop of 1.4" (35mm) which makes it feel very stable. The 62mm x 51mm wheels have a comfortable hardness of 78A and they run smoothly and quietly. The conventional trucks (Kingpin) are stable and the 35 degree base ensures smooth steering. The Abec 5 bearings from Atom are known for their speed and that has nothing to do with the ABEC standards. An Atom longboard is still a good quality board for a relatively low price.
