The origin of NKX Longboards

The NKX longboards originate from Denmark. The brand was founded in 2004 and is known for the affordability and quality of its boards. NKX tries to make longboarding possible for every wallet. Designing with wood is in the blood of the Danes, although it is not Danish but Canadian wood. Characteristic of the NKX longboards is also the enormous range of models and colors, where the colors remain close to natural tones. The designs are all in balance.

The material of the NKX Longboards

The NKX longboards are made of at least 6 layers of Canadian maple wood, the best wood for longboards. Finishing layers of Rosewood, bamboo or Olive wood are used. This allows the flex and strength to be determined per board.

The trucks are equipped with soft bushings, which makes steering very easy. For heavier riders who want more speed, a hard bushing may be desirable. These are easy to install.

The wheels are made of a soft 78A compound, which gives them a lot of grip and a quiet ride. The ABEC 9 bearings have a very low rolling resistance and that benefits the speed of the longboard. The ABEC standard is not important for skating sports, but because an ABEC 9 bearing is a few cents more expensive than an ABEC 5, the boards are equipped with ABEC 9 bearings
