The first Surfskates from Carver

Carver was the first brand to specialize in building surf skates that you could push or pump to move forward. The surfskate turned out to be a great success, because it rides clearly differently than a skateboard, cruiser or longboard. It is much more playful and rhythmic.

The surfskate is also known as Carver. Now Carver is a brand and other manufacturers couldn't call their "carver" a carver. This has led to other names such as skatesurf or surfskate. In the beginning, the Carver boards were the only really good surf skates, but that has not been the case for some time. Every brand now has surfskate boards, with cheap ones that ride great and expensive surfskates that don't cut it.

With a Waterborne adapter you can turn any cruiser or longboard into a super surfskate. This way you can determine the length of your sufskate yourself by taking a longer cruiser or longboard as a basis.

Surfskate boards are cruisers that allow you to carve extremely well. This is the result of a very flexible front truck that has a lot of steering and a rear truck that has very little steering. This creates a greater sideways movement at the front, resulting in a forward movement. It may sound a bit blurry, so it may only become clear once you've stood on it.

With a surfskate you can make very short turns and you can feel the nose of the board coming up when you make a sharp turn. A kicktail gives you just a little extra support during such a sharp bend. It's a lot of fun to do and when you ride on a blue carpet, you imagine yourself on the water.

It is often compared to surfing on land, so of course surf skateboards fit perfectly into our range.

The loose front truck also has a disadvantage. It's quite loose..... So if you hit a rock or hole in the road along the way, you can easily lose it. So you have to pay extra attention to what is on the road.

Try out a board with us and you will feel why being a skate surfer is called surfing on land.
