With a height of 52 mm, the Independent MID trucks sit lower than the traditional Independent High trucks. This results in a lower center of gravity and a direct feel during technical tricks, manuals, and landings. The modified geometry retains Independent's characteristic handling.
Inverted kingpin for better grinds
The inverted Grade 8 kingpin is a key advantage of the MID series. Because the kingpin protrudes less, you have more clearance during grinds and there is a lower chance of snagging on obstacles. Ideal for ledges, curbs, and technical street tricks.
159mm for wider skateboard decks
The Independent MID 159 has a total hub width of 8.75 inches (222 mm) and a hanger width of approximately 156 mm. This size fits skateboard decks of approximately 8.625 to 8.875 inches perfectly. This ensures your trucks align nicely with the width of your board.
